Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add olive oil and warm water. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  • Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces and roll each piece into a thin circle.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook each piadina for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Serve warm with your favorite fillings.

Notes

  • Piadina can be stuffed with a variety of fillings like prosciutto, mozzarella, arugula, and tomatoes.
  • This flatbread is also great as a side to soups and stews.
